It was in March of 2006, when Alon Assayag and Yossi Biton opened the French-style doors to Cafe Muscat. The Queens community was ecstatic when Alon took over the restaurant and transformed it into a gourmet dairy establishment. But what makes it more important and telling, is that after several months of dining there, customers are even more thrilled.

Alon is a very dedicated owner and is someone who’s been in the business for many years. He stands behind his food and requests from every diner in Queens and surrounding areas to come and see for yourself why he has the best Israeli food in town. His job is solely to make you, the customer, happy. He doesn’t want anyone to leave unsatisfied. The same approach is taken with the food. Each day, fresh fish arrives along with fresh vegetables. The bread and all bakery items are all homemade and even the cheese is flown in especially from Israel.

If you come in during the early hours or even up to 2pm, you may choose from up to 5 different “Breakfast Mornings.” You can have an Israeli morning, a Mediterranean, a Greek,
a Shakshuka or a simple healthy morning. In addition, pancakes with maple syrup and croissants are also served. For lunch, there are some fantastic Panini toast sandwiches and large sized portion salads. Their exquisite pastas and fish items are perfect for afternoon or evening hours. And to show that they are not your typical dairy cafe, they offer a sophisticated cheese platter. It consists of six cheeses accompanied by baked yams, roasted eggplant, roasted peppers and half a garlic head baked in honey and wine. Just terrific! Also note that the restaurant is open until midnight during the week, so in case you’re wandering the streets of Queens and you’re looking for a great place to go to, Cafe Muscat is waiting to welcome you.
